Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference!
The million pillowcase challenge is in progress at Bernina Southwest Quilt & Sew. American Patchwork & Quilting is challenging all of us to join efforts to "Make a Pillowcase, make a Difference". Every pillowcase can make a difference in our community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident. Bernina Southwest Quilt & Sew is participating in this challenge, and hosting events where you can come in and create pillowcases to be donated in our community. Keep your pattern and donate your pillowcase. Starting in May, there will be a class each month featuring a new pillowcase pattern. Class fee is $12 and includes the pillowcase kit. The class fee is waived if you bring your own fabric and downloaded pattern. If you would like to use one of our machines rather than bring your own, please let us know when you sign up. If you make pillowcases at home, you may drop them off at Bernina Southwest for distribution. Let's do our part in making a difference in our community. We really need your help! |
